I had help creating The City of Artificial Life. That help came in the form of a system of cellular automata that I created. Between the two of us - not actually "two" of us since there were thousands of automatons involved - we jointed produced this work of art.
I must point out that even though it would have been impossible to create The City of Artificial Life without their assistance, I did have final "editorial" control over our creation.
A cropped, watermarked, highly compressed wallpaper of this print can be seen in the The City of Artificial Life wallpaper.

“The world of automata in its widest sense embraces all of the conceptual models of computation used by computer scientists - from finite state machines to Turing machines.”
