Electra
Electra, 11 by 14 inches unframed

Electra

Electra is named for the style in which I created her, particularly for the colors I used.

Most people probably think of Carmen when they hear Electra but Electra was also a make of car, a bike, a motorcycle, and the model of plane that Amelia Earhart was flying when she disappeared somewhere over the Pacific. Historically, Electra was the daughter of Agamemnon, king of Mycenae, and the the main character in the Greek tragedy "Electra" by Sophocles. And of course there is also the Electra complex.

However, my Electra has nothing to do with any of these other Electras.

Following is a full size view of Electra's mouth at a printed size of 2.6 inches wide by 1.2 inches tall.
