Building an Online Presence: The Internet for Artists and Photographers.

The Barrington Cultural Arts Center is offering the one-day class Building an Online Presence: The Internet for Artists and Photographers. This class, developed and taught by Jim Plaxco, provides an introduction to the wide variety of challenges that artists and photographers must deal with in establishing and building their presence on the Internet.

Building an Online Presence: The Internet for Artists and Photographers Class

The core of the class will run one hour with up to two additional hours devoted to addresses specific concerns of the students. Elements of the class include developing a strategy, using search engine optimization to improve search rank, and using social media platforms like Facebook, Google+, and Linkedin to market the artist's/photographer's brand.

According to instructor Jim Plaxco, "my professional background in the field of computing as well as my work as an artist gives me a rather unique set of experiences upon which to draw."

The class will be September 21, 2013 starting at 2:00pm. The class will be held at The Garlands Of Barrington - Theater At The Garlands located at 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington, IL 60010.

Advance registration is required for this class. The fee for members of the Barrington Cultural Arts Center is $15 while the non-member fee is $20.
