Fremont Public Library in Mundelein IL
The digital art of Schaumburg IL artist Jim Plaxco is being exhibited for the next three months at the Fremont Public Library, 1170 Midlothian Rd., Mundelein IL. The art exhibit is managed via the Northwest Cultural Council's Corporate Art Gallery Program. With respect to the Corporate Art Gallery Program, Jim Plaxco stated that "I was very fortunate to not only be juried into the Northwest Cultural Council's Corporate Art Gallery Program for 2010, but also to be asked to continue in the program for 2011."
The primary art exhibit area is located on the library's first floor, with additional exhibit space on the second floor. With respect to the process for determining what art to exhibit in the show, the artist stated: "The artwork that I picked for inclusion in the show emphasizes abstract art that I created using computer graphics software of my own design. Using graphics software of my own design gives me additional degrees of artistic freedom not available to those digital artists using commercial software products."
All art in the exhibit is available for purchase through the Northwest Cultural Council's Corporate Art Gallery Program. For additional information about the art gallery program and to inquire about purchasing any of the art exhibited in the show, please contact the Northwest Cultural Council at (847) 991-7966 or via email at [email protected]
The digital art will remain on display at the library through July 10, 2011.
