Time Tunnel

Time Tunnel is an algorithmic artwork inspired in part by that old TV science fiction show Time Tunnel. I'm not sure how appropriate the title is but it was that TV show, episodes of which you can see on Youtube, that first came to mind when I was trying to decide upon a name for this artwork. Actually when I started work on the algorithm and program to create this artwork, I had in mind the work of M. C. Escher. Escher's artworks I was thinking about were House of Stairs, Concave/Convex and Relativity. None of these is an exact analogy but that was the source of the idea for an infinitude of stairs. As the work developed, I found myself abandoning my original concept and moving towards the concept of a hi-tech tunnel. That is the story of how this artwork came into being.
